Another beautiful day down the winding road at CTT!
So much to do, so little time here at camp! It is a gorgeous day for water skiing and tubing out on Lake Wallenpaupack, a perfect day for sushi making in indoor cooking and doughnut grilling in outdoor cooking, the lake inflatables are being used overtime, fitness training up in the weight room is in full swing, Gaga is gaga-ing along, creek stomping is splishing and splashing, the tennis courts are hopping, dance is seriously bopping, and balls are dropping all over the upper field! Last night at the staff show our second-half play was announced: CAMP ROCK! The girls are SO excited to participate.
And grove lunch, a Thursday camp favorite! Hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers galore make up the perfect menu for an outside buffet. A side of chips, carrot sticks, watermelon, macaroni salad and lemonade rounded out our feast.
Speaking of camp favorites, we had our first trip meetings today! Our 7th-10th graders head out into the world next week for highly-anticipated, totally beloved senior trips. 7th graders head to the Adirondack mountains, 8th graders are off to Burlington, Vermont, 9th graders are in for a New England adventure through Maine and Rhode Island, and 10th graders, eh? They’re going to Montreal, Canada! It’s good to be a senior camper. They’ll see the sights, they’ll probably storm a Starbucks, and they’ll come back to camp recharged and better than ever. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
Tonight our 9th and 10th graders are going on a mini adventure to the Scranton RailRiders minor lead baseball game! Who doesn’t love a baseball game (and the snacks to go with it)? And the juniors have their own adventure in store: ADVENTURE CHALLENGE! For lo-seniors it’s a POOL PARTY! Oh! And maybe the most important part: our new second session campers were just given big sisters! More on that to come!
We’ll say it before and we’ll say it again: life is good in Greeley!
